Moonlight Sonata
We attended a 3-D “immersive experience” art show where larger-than-life images of Vincent Van Gogh’s paintings swirled and moved around us as the beautiful music evoked many feelings of emotion. I was inspired to paint something with motion and texture. I chose a mostly cool color palette of violets and blues with some warm light areas. The entire canvas was painted with a neutral taupe over modeling paste and sand. Then sweeps and swirls of colorful textured paint were added. It is a tribute to the many artists who have gone before us leaving extraordinary images of art and inspiration.
