Crisp Point Lighthouse

Overlooking Lake Superior in Michigan is Crisp Point Lighthouse. My husband and I traveled for several hours through the forest even working our way past the fallen tree on the dirt road to get to this extraordinary location. The sun was setting and cast a peachy-golden light. The boardwalk took us around the lighthouse and then the wooden stairs descended to the lake where the rush of the waves in rhythm created a kind of peaceful music. We walked along the beach as the golden sky became tones of pink and lavender. Then the sun slipped beyond the horizon at the close of a beautiful, perfect day.
