Apple Harvest
My sister-in-law, Anne Marie Burton Oborn, and I were visiting our Russian artist friend, Galust Berberian’s home in September and he invited us to paint outside on location. In the orchard was a ladder, a basket of apples and an old metal circular table like my grandmother had. We thought it was a wonderful scene and wondered if his daughter had set those things up around the trees. We found some apples, plums and yellow aspen leaves to put on the table and then began painting. The temperature was perfect. The sunlight shone on the colorful surroundings and the apples were delicious. I’m grateful for that magical time.
