Peach Orchard Sunset
When I was young our family would visit the roadside markets which bordered the orchards and gardens during harvest time. In this painting I wanted to evoke memories of our senses: smelling the sweetness of the air, touching the soft texture of the fruit, anticipating the juicy taste of it, hearing the rustle of the soil beneath our feet and seeing the grandeur of the beautiful panorama with the mountains and river in the background. It takes us back to a simpler and more peaceful time of life when the beauty of the sunset gently lowers toward the horizon.
